There a number of ways to reach Disneyland Resort, California.
If you are arriving by plane:
Los Angeles, has five commercial airports, there is Los Angeles International (more commonly known as LAX), John Wayne/ Orange County (SNA), Long Beach (LGB) and Ontario(ONT). The closest one to Disneyland is actually Orange County, however LAX has far more planes going in and out, which means it is also often less expensive. From the any of the airports in the Los Angeles area, there are a number of shuttle companies which operate shuttles directly to the resort. Two popular and recommended ones are Super Shuttle and Golden West Express. It is advisable to reserve in advance but from the larger airports like LAX you should be able to just hop right on. There is also an express bus service operated by Grayline Anaheim which leaves from LAX or John Wayne airport. It goes every 30 minutes to an hour. You do definitely need to reserve a place on one of these.
If you are arriving by car:
The resort is located just off 1-5 Anaheim. You can exit either at the Harbor Blvd or Disneyland exit. If you are using sat nav, type in this address 1313 S. Harbor Boulevard, Anaheim, CA. It is thought that 13, 13 stands for M.M which is of course Mickey Mouse’s initials ( M is the 13th letter of the alphabet). Tell your kids this on the journey down, it will give them a bit of pre-Disney magic! Disney hasn’t left anything to chance, even the parking is perfectly staged managed. All you need to do is follow signs or one of the numerous happy parking attendants. Tell the attendant if you have someone with you with mobility problems and they will direct you to an appropriate place.
If you are arriving by train:
You are able to get an Amtrak train to Anaheim station, which is only a short distance from the resort. It’s quite an easy and stress free option to take. Once at the train station, you can take a shuttle straight to the resort. Visit www.amtrak.com for more information on train times.
